The Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) relates to couples who are married and want to, among other things, divorce, make arrangements for the children, and resolve property and spousal maintenance matters. The Family Court Act 1975 (WA) relates to couples who are in a de facto relationship and want to, among other things, make arrangements for the children, and resolve property and spousal maintenance matters.
